Why do We live in a society now where everyone is so keen to move forward. So keen to get away from the past. Why are we told this is a new beginning? Why can't we just look to the past and see what is right. Why don't we. Why don't we look back and realise everything good we have, or what others have done.
Max Dupain's artwork aims for the typical Australian in the 1930's. His photographs are impeccable, in that, they show what we considered 'typical' back then. Society now seems to think different. Are we really new, or are we just a modified version of what we were?
